favorite things friday

((don't forget to enter the giveaway here)

today my favorite things friday is taking a turn...for the better.

i told a friend this morning ((who asked if i was blogging while we were g-chatting)) that i was trying not to look at websites to find favorite things because i don't have money spend on those things...and quite frankly when i find a "favorite thing" most of the time i don't stop thinking about that dress, or pair of shoes, or necklace...until i get them! so sad.

my husband at lunch then proceeded to tell me that my favorite things shouldn't be items that i covet (that can often lead to a sin issue for me), but rather things I am thankful for...

so today, i'm doing just that. being thankful for little things that are my favorite things on this sweet friday.

1. blooming poppies. definitely one of my favorite parts about living here. it's like God is redirecting my attention and saying "I make cooler things than what you find on etsy. boom." and He's right.
((out of focus, but you get the idea!))

2. this is a silly one, but minute maid popsicles. they are delicious.

3. green against blue. so simple. so beautiful.

4. my husband. i'm the luckiest girl in the world.

5. sunny days at the park & silly faces.

6. this verse:

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
psalm 121:1

7. the future. the Lord has blessed our steps and has given us some pretty exciting things to look forward to....and some incredible people to share it with!

love.

  3. what a wise husband! i should start thinking of things i am grateful for instead of things i want. if i did that more often i wouldn't be broke and i also wouldn't be sad if i couldn't afford something; instead i would be happy that i took some time to appreciate the love and abundance that i am surrounded with in my life. lovely post today doll!
    smiles,

  4. love it! i have the same sin issues, girl. it is not easy. love your statement about God's creation being way cooler than anything on etsy - so, so true. He is the most creative being there is.
