be filled with joy

Print via The Wheatfield on Etsy
((one of my favorite shops!))

This is my motto, as of late. I keep finding myself, in frustrating situations, telling myself to be filled with joy. One of my favorite verses has to do with this. Don't you love when you can find comfort, encouragement and true joy in His word?

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
((Isaiah 55:12))

How awesome of a visual is that?

My encouragement to you is to not let the enemy steal your joy in any circumstance. Our God is greater!

love.

  2. I love that scripture. My mom used to sing a song with that verse in it to us when we were little. I could just hear her singing it as I read that :)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

  6. a. i love hannah's favorite verse, one of mine as well.
    b. i have that print starring at me right now on the wall in my living room. extra large in size.
    c. something i am striving so hard for right now. to not place my joy in circumstances but to have my joy grounded in Christ. i may not always be happy but i should always, always have a joyful spirit because of Him. because of His grace.

  9. I just wrote a post not so long ago on my blog about letting my light be dimmed. I have been fighting with the enemy for so long, I was tired. I decided that never again will I let it get me down, or steal my joy.

  10. Thanks so much for posting this... I could not have needed it more right now! - So many things have happened in the last two days that it's hard to think of them as coincidence - but this makes me feel like everything is going to work out and I should just relax and be thankful :)

  12. Such a sweet print! It is so difficult to step back from annoyances and frustrations and just be filled with joy. If it weren't for our sweet Lord, I don't think I could ever do it!

  16. Been following u for a bit...love this post! I find myself forgetting that real joy comes from the Lord, happiness from outward sources. Those outward sources r few & far between @ the moment! So keeping the joy alive is what gets me thru the day!! Love love! I need that print for my bathroom.....so I can be reminded first thing in the morning!! Yea!
