((outfit schmoutfit)) my pants are unbuttoned

Layering cami, skinnies - Anthropologie
((the cami hides my bella band))
White Peppermint Mocha - Starbucks *wink*
Toms - Gifted

I'm officially in that inbetween stage in my pregnancy. Nothing *really* fits. My pants are unbuttoned most of the day. Comfort trumps fashion most days recently. However, open cardigans & my bella band are my saving graces.

I promise this outfit looked more put-together earlier in the day. I had cute navy flats on that anchored the outfit perfectly. When they started to give me a blister, I changed into my Toms. You get the comfortable version.  That's what you come here for, anyways, right? :)

love.

  5. I love the outfit as it is with the toms! Looks more out together than I do on most days. :) I'm almost 6 months pregnant with my second and I've already transitioned to maternity skinnies with the 'secret belly.'

  9. I really was enjoying your political post with all sorts of uplifting christian thoughts until you said some really unchristian stuff about Mormons. You lost a follower doing exactly what you preached against.

    1. i just really like how no mormons have been offended by that but some uptight christian did? christians believe in weird stuff. all religions do. i was making a joke - maybe you thought it was untasteful for it to be at someone else's expense but you might want to lighten up.

  10. did you really just say it's a sin to even support (without judgement or even a second thought - as i would think a true "christian" would do) those who are homosexual? a sin just to stand up for them and vote for a president who believes in equality (again, another so-called christian/AMERICAN trait).

why do you feel it's something you even need to concern yourself with? it has nothing to do with you in any way. you contradict yourself in saying you believe it's god's job (and his alone) to do the judging.

it's always been my deep (up until recently - christian) belief that apart from hurting one another, we ought to let others make their own decisions and if we believe there's a god and if we believe he'll be judging others based off what is said in the bible, we ought to then let him do that.

you believe he thinks you're doing the world some good and doing your part as a christian by concerning yourself with another child of his and by (i guess) "protecting" this world from two people loving each other

if there's a god - and i hope there is - he's accepting of everyone, gives justice to those who have done true harm (and those who feel it's their job to notify him of possible sinners) but moreover, i hope he's so full of love that he wants every single one of his children to love fully, to be happy, and to feel like they're all equals of one another.

    1. wow. you got all that information from an outfit post?! ;)

Nope that's not what I said. Your defensive and attacking tone makes it really hard for me to even want to engage you in conversation, but I will.

I have a close friend who is gay and a cousin who is gay. I love and adore both of them but the bible is very clear that it is a sin. it does concern me because they are in my life. their sin is just as much sin as my gossip, occasional harsh tone with my husband, etc are sins.

I'm actually defending people who voted for Obama so I'm not sure what you're so upset about. I did no such thing of saying people are sinning by voting for him, the opposite actually, they're holding to their convictions.

I said you can't judge hearts and convictions, not actions, because you simply can't. You cannot see into their hearts and you have no idea the prayers they've said and the convictions they've been given.

In conclusion, it seems you have put words in my mouth and skewed the message of my post. You aren't a bible believing Christian so it seems it might be a waste of both of our breath to argue this- as I believe the bible is the ultimate say and you obviously do not. Fair?

  11. Do you really like the bella band? I've been contemplating getting one. Just haven't decided. Luckily I mostly work from home so I've been wearing alot of yoga pants ;) And when I go out my leggings are my saving grace!
How many weeks are you now? I'm 21 weeks.

  12. I'm sorry you are getting hammered over a post for which you turned off comments. I came here to say I agreed with it. I see others came here to day they didn't. And such is the nature of politics and standing up for what we believe in! Christianity is not fashionable and it is not easy. God bless!

  13. The best maternity jeans I found were from Motherhood because they didn't make me look or feel frumpy. I am sure that won't be an issue for you! you look great!
