Our Time in Texas

We flew off to Texas last Saturday early in the morning. We were supposed to come back on Wednesday, but just didn't feel like we could leave so soon! We changed our flight to Saturday, so we got to spend a whole week with friends and family. It was such a blessing and I felt at rest and peace for the first time in a while. There's just something about those Texas sunsets, those wide open spaces, those meals eaten with loved ones that just makes your heart feel at home. I won't lie, it was hard to come back...especially when the flight back had it's share of delays and "bumps." However, we are here in Boulder for this season and I need to be content. My heart has to be here. All here.

Anywho, here are some photos from our time in Texas. We spent lots of time at the pool, ate lots of Tex-Mex and BBQ, had plenty of snow cones, had plenty of quality time with family, and even threw a party for some friends in the area to come meet Knox. I got my mom's car stuck in the mud going to see one of my dad's sunflower fields. We got out for a date night. We acted like kids. We were showered with gifts for baby Knox. Needless to say, it was such a special week...and probably my favorite trip to Texas ever!

and my favorite photo of the trip ((of my parents)) was the very first one I snapped...

...there was definitely no shortage of love during our time in Texas.

love.

  7. Soooo many sunflowers! I love it. Makes me feel very summery and like I'm back in 8th grade. Sunflowers were a hit in the 90s!
