favorite things friday: all time fave beauty finds

Simple cream or white tops paired with dark denim shorts or skinnies seems to be my go-to outfit. When I feel that's a bit boring, I like to finish off my "look" with a bright lip, a top knot, a quick coat of mascara, and sometimes a headband. Most of the time, that's all I have time for and yet I still feel a bit fancy because...lipstick! Here are a few things that are making me feel put together even when there is no time for putting on makeup or thinking about putting together an outfit.

Here's a simple & classic long tee that I love Such a staple in my wardrobe.
A close second to my favorite lipstick of all time. ((My favorite is below.)) This one is Maybelline's ColorSensational in Are You Red-dy. You can find it here and see what it looks like on, here.

I FINALLY mastered the "sock bun." It took me forever because of my thick hair and layers to have the patience to follow through and make it work. These donuts work much better than the "sock."

Electric orange, baby. Oh, how I adore this fun shade of lipstick. Worn here, can be purchased here.

A quick coat of this and I'm good to go. Thanks, Ellen.

When it's been a few days and I haven't been able to shower/wash my hair - this headband is a lifesaver. A shiny lifesaver.

If I have time, I love using my nume styling wand to get the perfect wave. The best part is that I can usually wake up the next day and they still look presentable.

Okay, that's all. Have a great weekend!

love.

  1. I am such a fan of NuMe wands. I just got one and it's made curling my hair a breeze! I'm also loving the long white shirts. I have one from anthro that's been my go-to this summer.

  2. I love going for dark denim with a white top too! It's a classic summer staple. I like your headband idea. Better suits the weather~ I've heard of styling wands, but part of me is afraid of burning myself. What's the advantage over curling irons?

    1. it makes less of a ringlet and more of a natural looking curl/wave. i have burned myself PLENTY of times, but it comes with a glove to prevent it. i just got cocky ;)

it also holds curl so much better than any curling iron i've ever used. i have super thick and heavy hair...yet somehow it keeps a curl with a nume.

  3. Been thinking of trying an orange shade of lipstick. May give this one a try.

  4. I would love one of those curling wands! I feel like a wand might make the whole process easier? possibly? I have thick heavy hair that refuses to curl as well, so if you're saying it helps keep a curl better that's definitely something I need to look into.
