When I wake up in the mornings, there's the teensiest hint of Fall in the air. We're lucky here in Colorado to be able to wear sweaters earlier than most...but we're not *quite* there yet, unless you're up in the mountains. Usually by mid-morning and for sure by noon, it's hot as all get-out. Well, it's really only been hitting upper 80's, lower 90's....but that Colorado sun is brutal, y'all.
Anywho, this outfit may be a little premature, but oh well. It's been a really difficult season and although I typically LOVE summer - the warm weather, the margaritas, the pool days (of which I've enjoyed zero thus far) - I'm more than anticipating/ready for a new season, a fresh start, a clean slate. I just realized last week that I haven't really been able to enjoy summer like I should/normally do. This will lead me to squeezing summer for all it's worth the next few weeks and really trying to savor it. It will also lead to more & more excitement as the weather does remain cool and the days get shorter. And football season. I'm excited for football season. Saturdays spent wearing maroon, eating jalapeño poppers and watching the Aggies. Oh, yes. Farmer's Fight.
I'm digressing again. Back to the outfit post.
This outfit gives just a wink of summer - but the booties really anchor it for Fall, don't you think? Speaking of these booties, I can't really explain to you how much I love them. They're so comfortable and sassy and fun and I want to wear them with everything. When it's too warm, I can toss off the ((gorgeous)) kimono and still nod to the summer temps while anticipating the crisp air that is to come in a few weeks.
